I did not spend a lot of time in Macao, as there is not a massive amount to do there. It is however an interesting place as some of the old colonial Portuguese architecture still exists in some places. The most famous example being the facade of the former San Paolo church (photo below).

Apart from these remnants of colonialism, Macao has the feel of being Hong Kong's poorer and less classy cousin. The casinos are unappealing and the shops nothing special. There are pleasant parts to the place though and it was worth a quick look.
